Messages from the HOA president & board

12/16/23 Message from the President / Annual Homeowners Meeting Summary

Embracing Fiscal Responsibility and Elevating Our Community

Hi my name is Ali Erturk, I am the current president for our HOA.

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our homeowners and especially to each of you that have taken the time to be present at this annual meeting.

I would also, like to thank all the Volunteers that have embraced our community and have worked very hard and donated many hours to make it better:

Starting with our Board Members:

Debi Therault our Vice President.

John Pavka our Treasurer who has served faithfully year after year, and has helped us be fiscally prudent and responsible in managing our budget for more years, than I now.

Jennifer Armstrong our Secretary.

Terry Henry Our Board Member.

Wise Property management has helped us greatly as a board, and for that we are grateful as well.

I am pleased to present the annual report of the Twin Lakes Home Owners Association for the year 2023. It has been a year of growth, fiscal prudence, and strategic improvements aimed at enhancing the quality of life within our community.

Financial Responsibility

Our commitment to financial prudence has been unwavering. We recognize the importance of maintaining a healthy financial foundation to support our community’s needs, both present and in the future. Through careful budgeting and financial planning, we have ensured that every penny is used judiciously while striving for excellence in maintaining our community.

Infrastructure Upgrades

Upgraded Cameras in the pool area: In an effort to enhance the security of our community’s asset and experience at the Pool.  These upgraded cameras provide improved surveillance, offering peace of mind to our residents and bolstering the overall safety of Twin Lakes.

Bathroom Upgrades: We take pride in our environmentally conscious approach. By installing power flushers and automated sinks and urinals in our common areas, we have not only improved hygiene and cleanliness but also reduced water consumption, created a cleaner fresher environment, all while contributing to a more sustainable environment.

Architectural Enhancements

Approved Color Palette: We understand the importance of maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our community. To expedite the architectural review process, we have established a palette of preapproved colors for home painting. This initiative streamlines the approval process, allowing residents to choose from a range of attractive options from Sherwin Williams.  This does not mean you cannot choose colors outside of this color pallete, but simply by selecting colors in the preapproved palette the approval process will go much faster.

Community Engagement

We are grateful for our Fining Committee: Our volunteers: Dean Goldsmith, Casey Carter, Nick Garvin.   have demonstrated exceptional dedication by serving on the Fining Committee. Their hard work and commitment have minimized attorney involvement and costs while ensuring that our community standards are upheld. This committee has been instrumental in enforcing, when absolutely necessary violation notices, maintaining the overall order and integrity of our neighborhood. I am incredibly grateful for their commitment and dedication to these meetings.

We would like to ask if there are any homeowners/members that would consider joining our committees, including additional member for the fining committee.

In addition to the fining committee, we would like to have a

Safety Committee – with the goal of making our community safer.

Social Committee – for putting on events, welcome wagons for new homeowners and identifying the Lawn of the Month.

If you are interested in volunteering for any of these committees, please see any one of the board members present here, and let them know your name and contact information, and the committee you would be most interested in.

Looking Forward

We also continue our efforts to reach enough signatures to amend our 36 year old documents, that are outdated and created and designed with their best interest of the developer in mind, not our community.

As we reflect on our accomplishments in 2023, we also look ahead to a future filled with potential and promise. We remain committed to maintaining our community’s standards and enhancing the quality of life for all Twin Lakes residents. In the coming year, we will continue to explore opportunities and projects for improvement to make our community better and more desirable, while maintaining fiscal responsibility, and encouraging community engagement.

Finally, and Most importantly

None of our achievements would have been possible without the support and cooperation of our residents. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each member of the Twin Lakes community for their dedication and participation.

We look forward to another year of progress and prosperity for Twin Lakes. Together, we will continue to make our community a place we are all proud to call home.

Thank you all.

President, Twin Lakes Homeowners Association
